ERP5 is an open-source software solution who provide an accounting and finance framework. Some of the key functions are a document management system, multiple business templates, web publication system, ingestion system and a SyncML tool to synchronizes data. The business templates are a convenient way to exchange and distribute applications within the ERP5 framework, the collection of ERP5/Zope objects are ZPT templates including, formulator forms, portal types and Python scripts.
The trade business template used to create and manage customer and supplier orders and can be designed from scratch. The software includes a document management system which is useful for storing, versioning, categorising and searching documents and is capable of converting MSOffice docs into ODF, pdf, html and other formats. ERP5 provides an ingestion system which supplies images, files, documents and PDF documents into a portal, using a special tool.
ERP5 Mobile has a skin layer so that users can access data for their mobile phone, it also has a tool SyncML which allows the user to synchronize data between two ERP5 sites. The web publication system allows you to build and customize website applications, and supports structuring, translation and versioning of controlled content with an easy to use web interface.
Users can create PDF reports with an arbitrary and unrestricted layout which is useful for filing tax forms and producing financial statements as well as other documents. ERP5 is workflow driven and can be used in order to design human decisions and interactions which are stored in the WorkflowTool. The ERP5 program is used on large scale by industrial organisations, government agencies, trade businesses and more.
