The Two-Year MBA program offered by the Cornell University’s Samuel Curtis Johnson Graduate School of Management offers an innovative, real-world learning experience to help students achieve a successful management career. The program is founded on three basic principles: the value of a solid education in these key business functions – marketing, finance, human resources, and production; strong analytical and decision-making skills; and the flexibility in tailoring individual curricula. These core principles guided the development of the program’s curriculum which provides students with an unmatched learning experience that readies them for the modern global economy. During the first year of the program, students study several core courses that cover advanced business fundamentals and feature a Leading Teams course and Practicum that help them you acquire critical leadership skills. Students also get to participate in a mandatory team-based case competition. In the second semester of the first year, you study a data modeling and analysis course that gives you the ability to identify actionable insights and produce predictive outcomes. The semester-long immersion of integrated class and field work prepares you adequately for a summer internship. In the second year, students are able to fully customize the rest of the program through electives and concentrations that respectively broaden and deepen their business knowledge and skills. The optional management practicum enables students to get a hands-on experience tackling real-life organizational challenges. They also study a principled leadership course that focuses on leading larger teams and organizations. The program is conducted in a very collaborative environment featuring small cohorts, engaged professors, and supportive alumni that helps promote lifelong career opportunities, valuable business connections, and friendships.
