The program is taught by renowned full-time professors and prominent practitioners bridge theory with real-time business practice to inspire you through academic excellence. The faculty encourages the peer-to-peer learning enabling you to learn from the unique experiences that fellow students bring to the classroom. The program features a flexible schedule that meets the needs of working executives. Classes are held on weekends and in two distinct schedule options: a Friday/Saturday option that meet biweekly on Friday and Saturday, taking 5 terms over 20 months; and a Saturday option that meet weekly on Saturdays taking 6 terms over 24 months. You’ll select from options that suit your lifestyle. The program’s comprehensive core curriculum immerses executives in a blend of business theory and real-world practice and builds a foundation for success in any business. First-year EMBA students are divided into clusters, made up of 30 to 70 students who take every core course together. Clusters are further broken into learning teams of five or six students with diverse professional backgrounds, which fosters an environment of cross-disciplinary collaboration. During your first year, you gain an in-depth mastery of the academic disciplines and applied functional areas necessary for every business leader’s success. Following the core curriculum, you’ll select from a wide range of electives that allow you to specialize or explore new arenas. You’ll also participate in international seminars held around the world. As a Columbia Executive MBA student, you’ll have access to live and online seminars, one-on-one coaching, and job listings specific to experienced-level executives.
