The program provides an advanced project management education tailored for working professionals to enable them manage and lead their organizations in project implementation and team-based, multi-disciplinary initiatives. The program contains two core curriculum modules made up of 4 technical project management courses, 2 principled leadership courses, and a number of emphasis tracks in a student's area of interest. The Technical Project Management Core is comprised of the following four courses: overview of project management, project scheduling, quality management and operations. Upon completion of this core, you will earn a Graduate Certificate in Technical Program Management, representing twelve credit hours. The Principled Leadership Core focuses on leadership development in a project management context and applied leadership concepts that are proven to be successful.

In addition to the two core curriculum modules, students are required to complete 4 electives in courses that are in line with their career and professional development. Elective courses are available in Systems Engineering Management, Program Management, Leadership, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Civil and Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Cyber Security, Information Assurance, Computer Science, and Business. The elective curriculum offers flexibility of study and enables students to choose from a variety of courses to meet their educational goals. Students may select four courses from a single elective area or from several elective areas. The program also facilitates preparation for achieving Project Management Professional (PMP) certification by Project Management Institute (PMI).
