Chicken Express was launched in March 1988 in Benbrook, TX and today boasts a network of locations across Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Georgia and Arkansas. The rapid growth of recent years has driven the need to further expand operations and as a result the restaurant chain constructed a new 100,000 square foot distribution center. Already an AFS ERP customer, Chicken Express turned to AFS Technologies to fully modernize their warehouse operations and implement a scalable warehouse management system that could grow along with the needs of their business.

Chicken Express quickly deployed AFS Warehouse Management System to run the organization’s mission-critical warehouse operations. With the new system, Chicken Express can integrate both ERP and warehouse management functions. For example, the ability to seamlessly work with radio frequency (RF) and voice devices at the distribution center enables the restaurant chain to increase productivity, improve order accuracy, and bolster inbound and outbound product velocity. In addition, the system’s modular architecture ensures the organization can quickly scale capabilities as needed and better map to the needs of their thriving business.
