This program will also enhance their technical expertise in the use of the latest computer applications used by leading companies. It will increase your effectiveness through work-related systems challenges in a Virtual Lab Environment. With this project management specialization, you can build a foundational understanding of both traditional and agile project management methodologies. Additionally, this program is accredited by the Project Management Institute (PMI®) Global Accreditation Center for Project Management (GAC).
To earn this Master’s degree, you’ll have to complete a total of 48 credits offered in 10-week terms. You will have a three-week break between each term. Each unit consists of readings, discussions, and other activities you will be expected to complete throughout the week. Topics covered in the MS in Information Technology, Project Management curriculum include the application of processes, techniques, and tools used to plan, initiate, execute, control, and close projects; project budgeting, procurement, and quality. In addition, students will participate in 20-week Applied IT Project, where you will work to find solutions for real-world companies and IT projects. This project can help you discover relevant, real-world learning to fit your career or personal goals. This experience is designed to help you demonstrate what you’ve learned in your program. Graduates of this program will demonstrate: a strategic alignment between business needs and project outcomes; compliance with legal, ethical, and professional responsibilities; effective communication skills when dealing with project team members, stakeholders, and sponsors.
