The system boasts of cloud-hosted solutions that empower carriers to deliver a differentiated set of communication services. These range from media-oriented services such as Voice Messaging, Conferencing, and Auto Attendant. Personal calling functions such as Selective Call Forwarding, Simultaneous Ringing, and dial-by-name are also available.

The BroadWorks platform equips service providers to deploy a variety of business communications and collaboration solutions from a common network platform, across various types of network architecture. The program is based on a modular software platform architecture and is deployed over multiple, industry-standard functional servers.

The open environment also allows providers and third-party service developers to rapidly introduce new services and launch new applications that could possibly improve workflows depending on their specific business needs. BroadWorks addresses requirements needed to have a dynamic, flexible, agile, and scalable environment as its platform supports a hardware and OS-agnostic cloud architecture.

The technology operates in IMS and next generation network configurations and delivers services over traditional wireline, mobile (2G, 3G, VoLTE, WiFi), wireless and cable networks. BroadWorks boasts of a superior, mobile-first platform that works both natively and with OTT apps. The application can be deployed as an IMS TAS or NGN Application Server over any network infrastructure, including MSO and other terrestrial broadband networks. All these are intended to support an enhanced user experience.
