The Master of Science in Project Management degree program (MSPM) at Boston University’s Metropolitan College teaches the tools and techniques required to monitor and track project costs and schedule. It also helps students develop the ability to manage project resources and communications, and complete a successful project. The program is instructed by faculty members who are highly regarded for their academic accomplishments and hands-on industry experience. They bring insightful, real-world knowledge to the classroom. Furthermore, you’ll benefit from the diverse perspectives of your classmates, who comprise working professionals, full-time students, and international scholars.
The MS in Project Management is available on campus, online and in a blended format. The blended format combines both online study and face-to-face learning to provide a flexible learning option for those with demanding schedules. The School also provides a facility to use the programs’ electives to satisfy up to two required courses in an Administrative Sciences graduate certificate program—leaving only two additional courses to be completed in order to receive a graduate-level certificate. Students can also participate in a variety of international study experiences through the Administrative Sciences department. These include obtaining a second degree or an online course offered by a foreign partner institution, participating in one of the department’s intensive courses abroad; or attending a foreign university. Students who complete the master’s degree in Project Management will be able to demonstrate: proficiency in developing a project management life cycle for projects relevant to their professional domain; knowledge of advanced project management tools, techniques and processes; an in-depth knowledge of strategic planning and governance applicable to large projects and programs.
