Akaunting is a free and online accounting software designed for small businesses to manage their finances and stay on top of their cash flow. Invoicing, accepting online payments and keeping track of expenses couldn't be simpler.
Akaunting is built with modern technologies such as Laravel, Bootstrap, jQuery, Swift Mailer, API etc. With Akaunting, access financials instantly from any device: Mac, PC, tablet or phone. Akaunting is an Open Source project with contributors from all over the world. Akaunting is hosted on GitHub and open for everyone to contribute. With Akaunting software, send professional invoices to clients and start accepting online payments, no commission/transaction fee. Create and manage bills so your finances are always accurate and healthy.
Know what and when to pay. Add non-billable expenses as payments in order to keep bank / cash account balances up-to-date. Create unlimited bank and cash accounts and track their opening and current balances. Manage the finances of multiple companies from one admin panel. Assign users to different companies. Set up different names for each tax, and link specific taxes to specific products or transactions to save time. Share the transactions and invoices with your clients and accept bulk payments, online.
Extend Akaunting without leaving the admin panel. Configure permissions on a Role level to protect and simplify management experience. Akaunting attempts to keep API change to a minimum in order to make apps compatible. It aims to be easy to learn and build upon, even for those with a minimal amount of technical knowledge. I had big debate with accountant and I was banking on Akaunting team saying how can they be wrong on such basic and fundamental points? But my accountant proved me wrong with examples. Now I realized how can an accountant be wrong, off course the developer can be wrong as he can't be better than a chartered accountant who lives on accounting.
The whole Akaunting App as such is quite buggy. It takes more than 3 - 4 attempts before installation just because developer was just lazy not to handle situations smartly. Not a thoughtful development at all. App randomly will show blank pages at times. On most pages things are not really thoughtfully designed. I'm getting to a point that I'm desperate to either get these fixed urgently or find another ROBUST accounting open source self-hosted platform.
Anyone faced such issues? And got any ideas how to fix them?
