RapidMiner in Gartner's Leaders quadrant for Advanced Analytics Platforms: RapidMiner announced that it has been positioned by Gartner, Inc. in the Leaders quadrant of the“Gartner Magic Quadrant for Advanced Analytics Platforms,” published February, 19, 2014. This is the first Gartner quadrant report on advanced analytics. With an open source heritage, RapidMiner is one of today’s most widely known and used advanced analytics platforms, providing powerful solutions for a wide variety of industries. RapidMiner (formerly Rapid-I) was founded in 2007 in Dortmund, Germany. Revenues have been growing up to 300% per year since 2011 and today, it has more than 200,000 active enterprise users and 500 enterprise customers, including Lufthansa, PayPal, Pepsi, Sanofi, Siemens, Telenor and Volkswagen.

According to Gartner, “leaders are those vendors with a strong and proven track record in the market that are also likely to influence the market's broader growth and direction.” In the report, Gartner states that “predictive analytics and other categories of advanced analytics are becoming a major factor in the analytics market.”

Over the past year, RapidMiner has worked closely with its active community of users, and applied that community’s feedback to the release of RapidMiner v6 in November 2013. This significant upgrade provided new features like applications wizards, which demonstrate how business analysts can implement churn reduction, sentiment analysis, preventative maintenance and direct marketing.
