HyperGraphDB is an open source data storage mechanism based on the powerful directed hypergraphs. It provides with all the data modelling knowledge and has a lot of memory for large information. It is equipped with N-ary and out of box Java OO database. It offers with customizable indexing and storage management which is essential when working with graphical representation because an unprocessed and complex data constantly needs to be edited and modified. Another powerful feature is the extensible, dynamic database schema through custom typing which gives an altogether different look to the graphs and is fully transactional and multi-threaded so that all the data can be found at one index. It has various components which help HyperGraphDB to perform better and efficiently. These components are JSON which arranges itself as graphs, WordNet, TopicMaps, RDF via Sail, OWL 2.0, Protégé, Plugin, TruProlog, XmlSchema, FeedForward Neural Nets and Distributed Dataflow. HyperGraphDB is mainly a database to store hypergraphs instead of generating them but it does play a role in managing structure rich information with complex layers of information.

HyperGraphDB finds its usage in server-side Java application, desktop Java application, Bioinformatics, Semantic web and network research. So whenever there is a need for storing hypergraphs that are too complex to be handled by ordinary databases then HyperGraphDB is what is actually needed because it has so many features and components that make it very powerful and authentic storage database.
