There is capability to open, analyse and edit two or more datasets concurrently and can also be merged, joined or concatenated.PSPP has drop down menus which provide access to the supported statistical analyses and transformations. It also support operations such as loading and saving of the data and syntax files. Features can be used via interactive dialog boxes which indicate the options and required parameters of each command.

PSPP

PSPP can generate high quality plots to help with visualisation of the distribution of data. These are box-and-whisker plots, normal probability plots and histograms. These complement descriptive statistics and help determine the most appropriate type of analysis for the data, and/or what transformations are necessary.

The data selection capabilities of PSPP make it simple to generate plots from a subset of variables or from data which match only certain criteria. Recoding and manipulation of data can be achieved rapidly using PSPP transformations. Transformations enable to specify operations without needing an extra iteration though the data. Operations may comprise simple boolean criteria, arithmetic expressions and mathematical functions. PSPP supports many math functions, including random number distributions, trigonometry and date-time conversions.

    Convenient statistics analysis software

    What is best?

GNU PSPP is a free and convenient statistics analysis software that has neither an expiry date nor a limit on the number of data entries for analysis. Added to its stability and reliability, this program can analyze data in numerous ways ranging from descriptive statistics to ANOVA.

    What are the benefits?

The initial package can execute all the functions unique to the program, hence no need for support packages. More than one dataset can be run at once, and/or merged; and neither this nor the input of many cases or variables (Up to 1 billion of each can be supported) would slow down the process of data analysis.

    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Designed mostly for students, statisticians and social scientists, GNU PSPP comes with a user manual that is fully indexed. Being extremely flexible, it supports different languages, data from different databases, operates on several other word processing software, provides the option to obtain output in multiple formats, operable on user or graphic interface and also produces syntax and graphic files which are inter-changeable with those of SPSS.
